You can make the best eyeshadow palette choice by taking note of your undertone, and emphasising it! Those with warm skin tones can make the most of gold, orange and red shades to amp up the warmth in your skin. On the flip side, those with cool skin tones can layer on the blues, greens and purples to match your skin's natural undertones. On the other hand, when it comes to selecting the best eyeshadow shade, your eye colour can also play an important role. For example, almost any colour goes well with brown eyes, but neutral shades like a bronzy gold can really enhance them. A light, neutral makeup palette complements cool blue eyes well, while those with green eyes can make their eyes appear brighter by wearing mustard or peachy shades. Applying eyeshadow primer is easy. First, cleanse your face and apply moisturiser. Then, dab a small amount of primer on the back of your hand. Using clean fingers or a small brush, gently dab the primer onto your eyelid. Finally, allow your primer to dry before continuing with your eye makeup routine. As for base colour: simply select the most neutral shade in your eyeshadow palette. (This doesn't mean the lightest shade.) Next, take a tapered fluffy brush (or clean fingers if you prefer) and lightly glide your eyeshadow on. This creates a solid base colour you can build on. The trick to blending eyeshadow colours is to sweep your brush in a windscreen-wiper motion to blend the shade and soften the edges. If you're combining multiple shades, be sure to blend one shade in before starting the next, and always start with lighter colours before moving onto darker ones. The eyeshadow application process is always easier when you apply small amounts of products at a time. Simply apply the lightest shade you want to use on the inner half of your eyelids first. As you move towards the outer corners, you can add in darker shades, and keep blending until you reach your desired look.
