GET THE LOOK 2019 NEW YORK CITY PRIDE MARCH
In celebration of WorldPride and the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, Maybelline Spokesmodel Josephine Skriver, a lifelong advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, proudly joins L’Oreal at the NYC Pride March!“I worked closely with Carolina Gonzalez to create my look. We opted for a pastel-hued rainbow, I wanted to bring a voice to support the trans community this year and drew inspiration for my hair and makeup look from their flag.” – Josephine Skriver
Here's how to get the look:
-
Face: To create a lasting base that would keep her look intact in the heat and humidity, Carolina began by prepping Josephine’s under eyes with Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Conceale, one of Jo’s go-to products, and Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte & Poreless in 238 all over the skin. This foundation was perfect for the look because it provides a matte finish that allows the glitter and iridescence around her eyes to really pop.
Cheeks: Carolina swept the Maybelline New York FaceStudio Master Contour Kit onto the high points of the face and then layered the Master Chrome Molten Rose Gold on top to create a multidimensional and polychromatic foundation for the glitter.
-
Eyes: Carolina applied the Maybelline Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette all over the lid and under eyes. Then, she blended Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Eyeshadow into the crease and shape up into the brow bone and temple. The monochromatic eyeshadow look amplified Josephine’s natural eye color to create a more defined look.
On her lashes, Carolina kept with the color palette and applied Maybelline New York Snapscara in Black Cherry onto the top and bottom lashes.
Carolina defined Josephine’s brows using the Maybelline New York Tattoo Brow 36HR Brow Pencil in Blonde and the to fill in sparse areas.
-
Lips: Carolina created an ombre lip with a combination of Maybelline New York SuperStay Matte Ink in Seductress and Lover by first applying Philosopher all over the lips and then concentrating Lover along the inner lip line and middle of the lips. The ombre effect mimicked the purple and pink colour palette of her wig, tying the whole look together.
Finishing Touch: To complete the ethereal unicorn-inspired look, Carolina applied glitter around the orbital bone and up to the temples, as well as on her body.
